Christmas...oops

So I guess I didn't put any Christmas pictures on from this last year... oops! well here are a few to at least document that we did have fun!

First Snow... we went to 5 different stores, including both walmarts to find snow boots. kmart was the winner!

Helping decorate the house for Christmas. He loved putting everything out.
and lined all the little ornaments up  in a row. The fishing santa was his favorite.. what a boy!
thought the chair santa needed a snowman friend...
but I helped relocate in the right spot...
showing dad all the new decor. especially cause he did it and didn't get in trouble.
temptations all season long. He just wanted it to snow.
"kids" christmas tree, real and colored lights. tradition at my house, and I loved it because we could display our works of art and decorate it ourselves!
 wrestle time!
next year there will be two kids... garrett wasn't sure if he like posing in front
going to build first snowman! he looks ready right?!
eating something... not sure if it's breakfast or lunch
 but it was plate-licking good...
went to temple square.. and loving the lights!
tired and cold little guy. think there were a ton of people he wasn't so sure about. however he did spot trevor who did not come with us... and it really did look like him. we both did double and triple takes to make sure he wasn't secretly there with a girl... :)
 our little family
oh yeah.. my personal favorite spot... where we got engaged 5 years ago! Holy Cow times has flown!
 sweet view
and of course if there is water around, garrett will find it...
 and play in it...
and be happy that he could, until you take him away.
we rode the front runner down with some of the Christensen Crew... and a million other people who had the same idea... but it was fun!
 making gingerbread men with kate.
and when garrett woke up he wanted to help too! they had fun but weren't sure if they liked the ginger cookies by the end... it's an acquired taste I guess.
on Christmas Eve we all went up and skied at the Beav!
Garrett did awesome for his first time and LOVED it!
it was a beautiful warm day (my favorite) and we had a BLAST!!!
the newest skier of the family.
 having a blast
and decked out in his cute ski gear! couldn't believe they had ski boots and skis that small!
Christmas PJs ... even for Ryan!

unwrapping presents was the best. Garrett helped on all of them with the determination on his face like this picture, which is the best because Jordan is holding down the paper just so he would make this face! ;) silly boys!

and of course he knew that there was going to be something good inside, smart kiddo.

This and that...

Finally had time to catch up on some blogs I follow and discovered that I am one BIG slacker! It's been crazy, and just downright not fun at times but I have a new goal to do at least one post a week, I hope. So here are a couple of random pictures that I thought were fun...

Jordan was trying to participate... the other pic was of him closing his eyes... I wonder where garrett gets it from...
From Garrett's (couple day celebration) of his 2nd birthday... Jordan had school for 2 nights so we did little stuff for a couple of days when jordan got home.
Apparently the hat could also be doubled as pants?! I learned how to make balloon animals as a ski instructor for the Snoopy Carnival at Beaver Mtn. when single... Who knew it would be useful later in life!
Anything can be a car, and go for a ride!
Used to be a pumpkin stand. it's now at the DI, because we were spring cleaning...
Garrett is still my best helper around the house... and he ALWAYS wants to help. These are Jordan's shorts, that also garrett's dress/robe? He liked having them on... his way of helping fold the laundry! love it!!

Last but not least... and more for my record since I didn't write one down last time... the sickness has ended! 8-18 weeks... morning sickness. 19 wks on... back to normal!  Can I just say HALLELUJAH! I even started the official "summer list" of stuff to accomplish this summer. Jordan begged me to do it in a couple of weeks... haha... not a chance dude! I'm BACK!!! Oh yeah and May 2nd we will know what we're having... keep you posted!

Pregnancy and the not so fun stuff

** I am complaining a little But also grateful to have the opportunity to have another child. **

So being pregnant is super fun up to this point... Not really! The only good parts about the uncomfortable down right not fun part of being sick is
- knowing my sweet husband expresses his concern for my comfort and really does just about everything with Garrett and around the house. Thank you Jordan!
- Garrett giving me daily humor and who also asks me everyday right when he gets up ' mom you sick?' 'Mom you feel good today?' and my favorite 'mom you spit in the toilet?' he's such a sweet boy and shares his favorite toy of the day with me, and is willing to go get anything I might need. Such a smart and caring kiddo! Love him more everyday!

Now for the not so fun stuff:
- early to bed and early to rise:
Can't stay up because I get sick and super worn out, and can't sleep in anymore for whatever reason. I'm up before 8 pretty much every day. Could be a good thing except for the next point...
- no motivation to do anything including getting ready for the day... This should be an easy task and yet takes so much energy just to complete.
- spitting in the toilet and nausea... Helps with the no motivation cause I just feel like crap. Also my body doesn't like it... The sweet medication worked last time but for whatever reason will not work this time... Boo!
- food aversions and strong smells... Aka the super sniffer! I can smell it all. I like to think of myself as my brother Jason who can go into Walmart and as we are trying to find the popcorn, he sniffs the air and proceeds to tell us it's 2 aisles over. And BAM, There it is!
Oh yeah I can now do that! It a curse really because there are some things that just don't smell good at all! There there's the food cravings: ice cream, sweet stuff, certain salad dressings, beef, and cereal at night! Now this is huge because I'm not a fan of cereal anyway but to have breakfast foods at night is like breaking a cardinal rule! You just don't do it!! ( which leads me to believe this child has some of jordan's brains) Then the food aversions: no pb&j, juiced veggies of any kind!( just for Ryan), no dr pepper for a month( which is like my personal diet coke), chicken, and pretty much anything I cook from scratch. Really most food in general!
I think I have finally gotten over the hump but today I had a relapse day, which was not so fun... Hence the venting.
However I am getting excited and wishing I knew what we are having already, and even feeling it kick. But alas it will be at least a couple weeks before either of those happen.
Excited to add to the family and know Garrett will be an awesome big brother!
