Happy Happy Boy!

I can't believe how happy Garrett is all the time. It's been such an awesome week with him! Garrett is such a great helper (not crying) and good kid when I have to take him to work with me. This week he did 2 houses and flowers for a wedding. He even liked smelling the roses we were working with. I have been so amazed that Garrett is smiling and laughing most of the day. I feel so blessed to have such a fun, sweet little boy who makes me laugh everyday, just like his dad.
He's found his tongue! And loves to show it off!

This picture is for Mom, Dad, and Ryan especially. We found this pineapple plant at Home Depot for $20. We didn't know if Hawaii had a Home Depot, but we figured you would get pineapples faster if you bought one of these, since they already have one on it!

These pic/video aren't the best because they're from my phone.

I love vacuums and so does Garrett! I was vacuuming today while cleaning and when I was done I turned around to check on Garrett and found him sleeping. He's so cute when he sleeps!

Evening is the best time to catch Garrett laughing his guts out. We can't fingure out if he's just punch drunk (super tired) or just ready to be silly with us.
He can make the funniest faces!
How can you not smile at that face?

Jackson Hole Weekend

So this last weekend we decided to go up the Jackson Hole, WY for 1 night. My family was having a reunion in Grace and so we decided to go a little further and have an adventure. Well we sure did! We didn't have a reserved campsite because Gros Ventre has like 300-400 campsites. Well apparently they filled up by 6 pm and we got there at like 9:15 pm. So we drove around to everywhere else, which was full, and even considered a hotel (which most of those were full too, the cheap ones at least). So we pulled off on this dirt road, just planning to either sleep in the car or next to it a little ways up so we wouldn't get caught. Well we were blessed because it was a non-designated camping zone. You could camp anywhere for up to 5 days. so we pulled off the road, set up camp, and slept, kinda.
Garrett is such a people person. He hates to ride in the back seat by himself, so I crawled back there and then he started making these cute faces.
It's cold out there. 5 more minutes? Garrett loved the tent and sleeping bag. We will definatly going camping again but maybe with a reserved campsite.

This was our great spot that we found at like 11:30 pm. Then we set up in the moonlight and finally got in bed around 12:30 ish. Not that we got much sleep.
Garrett wanted to cuddle when he woke up. He loves to camp, and slept through the night! However we didn't. I kept worrying about him and then there were people driving up
the canyon all night. (like 3, 4, 5am..ect... )

Good morning. We all huddled together in the morning because it was so cold.

Garrett patiently waited until we got the tent and stuff all cleaned up!

On our way to the hiking trailhead, we stopped to get a great family photo with the Tetons.

Jordan and Garrett ready to hike!
It was Garrett's first hike (4 mo.) and he did awesome!
He even fell asleep on the way back

Garrett wasn't interested in the scenery until he had
his fill of the loose backpack strap.

This is Phelps Lake. It was a nice easy hike for some great views.
Plus it wasn't in the park so it was free!
Garrett is pumped he made it to the top!

Just resting, and a little snack, before the hike back down. jordan wanted to switch hats and have Garrett's totally awesome one.

Nice Elk.

Of course whenever you go to Jackson you have the get the elk arch.

4 Months Old

Wow does time fly and stand still at the same time! I can't believe that Garrett is 4 months old but I can't believe he's only been with us for 4 months. He's such a big boy and yet so small still. his personality just keeps coming out. So here's a rundown of what Garrett likes and does so far. And of course some cute pics too.

Garrett likes to eat. Not only that but he likes to eat when he wants and in silence. Don't try to talk or interact because he likes to focus on the food and enjoy it. (kind of like his guilty pleasure thing I guess)

Garrett likes Trees. I would easily say that this is his most favorite thing after food. He can lay outside for hours just watching the leaves move in the wind. He will even start talking to them. He even likes them more while laying in the grass, which he also loves.
So he's been doing this weird thing lately where he's found his voice a little more. He does this squeaky thing and goes really high... sometimes sucking air in and other times like doing a falseto voice. Either way it's fun to do it back. I almost think he's trying to sing because he'll do it with music too.

Garrett likes TV. Wonder where he gets it from?
Garrett rolls over. Fast and slow. See previous post for video.

I love Garrett's pretty blue eyes, very cute smile and his contageous laugh.

Cruise In 2010

This year for the Cache Valley Cruise In we weren't able to get the truck done. We had great help from my Grandpa Glayd and Grandma Helen (keeping me and Garrett company), and they were able to get a lot done. Thank you, Thank you!!! However, there was just so much left to do we didn't make it. So now we can have a lot of time to get it done for next year. We are determined not to say "next year we'll have it in". So I will keep you all updated so it gives us more motivation to get it done quick!

We still had a lot of fun going to the Cruise In this year and we were able to get a lot of good ideas, and see awesome cars. This one was one of my favorites:

Here's one you don't see everyday... The Bat mobile.

And here's a jeep with one of the coolest things we like at our house: Flames, painted and sewn.

Of course who couldn't love 'Bumble Bee' from "Transformers" ( 2010 Chevy Camero).

We weren't the only ones who liked the cars. Garrett loved going and stared at the cars and probably the leaves on the trees just as much. The best part for him was riding around in his totally awesome stroller.

Such a cute boy in his cute outfit and matching hat! Totally fits the car era...

He became famous because everyone thought it was so cute so he got his picture taken a ton of times. We even sent one in to the Hearld Journal and it got printed in the Monday (July 5) edition. Like father, like son. (Jordan had his picture in the paper ice skating when he was little.)

Thanks to Dave and Lynn Stander at Streamline Collision Center in Tremonton for letting us borrow their car stroller. We'll get Garrett's made pretty soon. That way we'll have a father/son entry for next year!
