Having Fun

As I finally emptied both my memory cards from the camera... I came across some cute pics of garrett (of course) that I thought i'd put on here. He is such a great kid and so happy most of the time. He is also very easy to please! yeah for me!

Big!

I can't believe that Garrett is almost 9 months old... he's into everything and is starting to want to move around! He'll be crawling before we know it! Here are a couple of pics I took of my cute little helper. He just sat and read his book while I put laundry away. He is definatly a big reader and loves any type of reading material you give him... even newspaper!

Garrett Surgery

On November 12, Garrett had toe reconstructive surgery. When he was born his Left big toe had an extra bone in the end so... his toe looked a little wider and smashed. It was hard to fit him in shoes (would rub and irritate him) and we didn't want him to have to relearn how to walk. So Garrett had his first surgury and did Amazing!

Looking at the fish before surgery...

He was wide awake at 6:30 AM..

His first toy to ride on...

Just a little more balance and he could do it by himself...

All dressed for surgery. I loved this cute little patient outfit they had, just not the circumstances to wear it.

Garrett loved the noisy paper on the table. He really loves anything that will make noise.

Waking up after surery. Garrett did really good when waking up after the anethesia. He hardly cried, and loved the apple juice afterwards. When th nurse came to take out his IV, Garrett smiled and waved to him. The nurse said he must have a happy disposition, because most kids don't sit still and smile while he takes the IVs out.

So tired from surgery, Garrett loves his face to be tickled.

Before we even got out of the parking lot, Garrett was fast asleep and didn't wake up until coming into Cache Valley...

...where he immediatly started to show off all his tricks and wanted a bottle. It was like he never even knew he had surgery. Even now, 2 weeks later, he's moving and doing everything he can just to be part of stuff. Children are so amazing and resiliant. I sure wish I could bounce back like they do.

Halloween

I know it's a little late but here are some pics of Garrett in his first Halloween photo shoot! Not to mention this was 10:30pm and we brought the shop lights in... The things we do a first time parents...hehe

Boise

It was a long trip up to Boise... especially with a little baby. However, we made it and had a BLAST! Thanks to Andrea and Brady for letting us come up and stay at their house!

All the cute cousins playing together!

They kind of look like some deer in the headlights here...

Garrett was so good during conference. He made it until the closing song Saturday Morning..

Until he just couldn't stay awake anymore. He sure loved being with his cousins and watching them play.

Two and too cute boys.

Brynlee, Nash, and Ridge were all really nice to share their toys with Garrett and Ashlyn.

Conference was great this year and I had planety of time to finish my Winter Quilt I started 2 years ago. Yeah!

Fall Fun

Happy Fall to you All!
So I took some pictures of Garrett while we were doing some fall clean-up in the garden. I can't believe how fast he grows and looks so different in such a little amount of time.

This one's my favorite!

of course they are all my favorite too so...

I got tons of carrotts from the garden this year so... I made baby food!
It actually smelled really good and Garrett loves it!

Mission Accomplished

The yard is DONE!!!! WE DID IT!!! It took a lot of work and a lot of help, but we got the front/side yard in. We started early Friday morning with the 3 concrete blocks and didn't stop until Sunday afternoon with the final piece of sod. It was a big project but we had some fun and good laughs with some great friends and family. Here are some pics to look at the final look!

Garrett loved being outside all day!

Next time we'll plan to have some machinery to dig holes like these.

One block down, two to go, and taking a break

got the blocks in and sprinklers trenched by Saturday morning!
making excellent time!

My parents helping put in sprinklers. They were suppose to be in St. George but the plans fell through so they decided to help us!
