CALIFORNIA

 California
Garrett and I went to california the first week of november with my mom. We had a BLAST!
Garrett especially liked the beach. (what kid doesn't, even I still love it)

Garrett wasn't quite sure about the waves, and the water was a little too cold for me, but he loved it!
Every time the waves would come up, he'd yell 'RUN!" and ran away from them. they were really powerful to him, and even when it was only ankle deep, it would pull him back in.
Being out in the open where he could just run and run was nice (for me) and he loved that mom wasn't trying to keep him confined! especially after the plane ride, which could have gone better... and worse I guess.

 Sand crabs!
...however, this one died... by way of garrett squishing him
it's cold, and trying to keep my balance. it didn't work and luckily I caught him before soaking all of himself.
Garrett's favorite question: "What's dat?" seaweed dude, and then tried to put it back in the ocean.
another must do, SANDCASTLES! it wasn't a great one, so there's no finished pic... let's just say the turrets weren't how they were suppose to look ;)
we found a shovel!    here Mollie, you need some more sand...
garrett- "what's dat?"
mom- " a seashell"
garrett- "hmm" then let's see if I can break it... and he did
no beach day is complete without a face-plant in the sand, tongue hanging out. his head was the only thing that stopped him from doing a somersault. YUM! hahaha
 cute footprints
 checking out mom's footprint
 more sand digging.
after a full day of shopping, we took garrett to the local school playground, where he had a blast!
 he loves swings and balls
 ready for the slide..
roll the ball first, then follow. what a great game.
 wee wee. (the swings)
 such a cute little boy!

his beautiful blue eyes... it's a miracle he even ended up with them!

having some fun, love his giggle!

went to some open houses... $1.6 million, very affordable don't you think?
 garrett's favorite part, the yard!

the man cave... taught him a few poker skills
my favorite part, huge folding door (4 wide)
 climbing on fences
 hiding place under spiral staircase
 having fun with grandma
garrett's other favorite part, the pool! and the most nervous part
 interesting shower...
garrett and mollie, he always found the tubs!
more beach time.   RUN, RUN, RUN!
rocks the storm washed up, garrett tried to put a lot back
 throwing
 more fun

 walking the beach
getting tired, needed a break
and maybe sit for 30 sec...
watching some guys play soccer, he really wanted to join in
I wouldn't mind the property in the background
"Run grandma"
grandma got a little wet, but had fun
hee hee
 weeeee!
"big rocks!"
throw them back
I could get used to living here, garrett and i would beach it every day!

such a fun trip! thanks mom, we had a blast!!!

 follow the leader
 doing funny things

Linda and Mollie. Thanks again, Mollie! We loved coming to stay and hanging out with you guys!
Chasing the birds, we'll be back again next year, this time with dad!
Oh, and we can't wait for HAWAII again this winter, with some more beach time!
