Mission Accomplished

The yard is DONE!!!! WE DID IT!!! It took a lot of work and a lot of help, but we got the front/side yard in. We started early Friday morning with the 3 concrete blocks and didn't stop until Sunday afternoon with the final piece of sod. It was a big project but we had some fun and good laughs with some great friends and family. Here are some pics to look at the final look!

Our personal Cheerleader

Garrett loved being outside all day!

Next time we'll plan to have some machinery to dig holes like these.

One block down, two to go, and taking a break

got the blocks in and sprinklers trenched by Saturday morning!
making excellent time!

My parents helping put in sprinklers. They were suppose to be in St. George but the plans fell through so they decided to help us!

Looking Back

So I was looking through some old pics to find some of the yard before we did anything to it and came across some old pics that I thought were neat. Here are a couple of my favorites.

My first motorcycle trip with Jordan. This was one of the
coolest trips I'd gone on without my family... keep in mind that we
were still dating at this point in time...

Even after I fell on a cactus and Jordan picked out all the needles. I knew at this point I'd
be really lucky if I married this kid.

"Oh no! What happened to the truck!" Jordan made a start on fixing the '55 Chevy that he's always wanted.

Talking to Sister (Amber) Allen at Christmas Time.

Water skiing. Jenny is being the boat babe! woo woo.

WOW!

WARNING: PYROTECHNICS
On the next one the flame went out rather than up and the two guy sitting by the fire were burnt. One had blisters all over his face and no eyebrows. Jordan is the one standing far away taking the picture.

Brynlee and her first sleepover with us!
NEW TIRES! they went on the truck!
On Our Honeymoon in Cabo.

Jordan holding Brynlee.
Jordan on a snow cave scouting activity.

Camping by porcupine reservoir. we even had the styling van!

Ahhh, the styling van! it even came with the rainbow stripes!

Home at last!

Washing the truck, his pride and joy at the time

Who's changed the most?!

Hunting (pheasants, grouse, or turkeys?) obviously i'm not a hunter...
Grandpa at McDonald's!

Our first and possibly last Baby Animal Days...at least until
we forget how crowded it really gets there!

A family get together at Kendall's house
WOW were we young or what...

It's amazing how time flies when you look back at it. I hope you enjoyed see some old pictures... maybe I'll put up some more in a little while.

Boating Fun

A couple weeks ago we had Mark and Mollie Allen and family from California come for the weekend and go boating at Hyrum for a day. We had a ton of fun with great friends! Next time we'll have to go to California and surf the waves and of course hit the mall!

Garrett in his cute frog chair that Grandma Kaylene gave him!

Garrett's got so many cute faces...

and such a happy little boy!

Garrett shared his chair with Kate... she wasnt so sure she wanted to sit there for more than 10 sec and she's a little camera shy! haha
Part of the crew... Kate, Celeste, and Linda(taking photo) were up front. The other half... Nathan, Nick, Chelsea, Megan, and Abby, were in the other boat
Garrett's 1st boat ride.

He really liked it when we were moving but not when we were just sitting in the water.
And his life jacket wasn't that comfortable. He lasted almost
3 hours in the boat before he got too hot and didn't want the jacket on anymore!
Celeste and Kate!
Kate loved riding in the boat and especially the chips!
Thanks for a great day everyone!

Yard Update

So we're still going on the yard. I get really ambitious in my head and think we can really get more done then we can. Things take so long when there's only 2 of you doing manual labor. haha

So we still have got a lot done with working the ground and making the sprinkler plan. Here goes another weekend on the yard... hopefully with 3 full days to get it done and the knowledge we decided not to take a vacation to St. George, we can get it done, and not change or add to the plan again!
The Plan: Dig holes, put in cement blocks, trench sprinkler lines, put sprinklers in, and hopefully get sod in! It's going to be a busy weekend! For anyone who wants to help we will freely take it, and even provide lunch or dinner or both!

Here's some pics of what it looks like before and after:

Before:

I love this one of Jordan hard at work... kind of... it's nice to have the tools to make it a little easier!

Good-bye little tree. You had a good life but we couldn't save you.
