4 Months Old

Wow does time fly and stand still at the same time! I can't believe that Garrett is 4 months old but I can't believe he's only been with us for 4 months. He's such a big boy and yet so small still. his personality just keeps coming out. So here's a rundown of what Garrett likes and does so far. And of course some cute pics too.

Garrett likes to eat. Not only that but he likes to eat when he wants and in silence. Don't try to talk or interact because he likes to focus on the food and enjoy it. (kind of like his guilty pleasure thing I guess)

Garrett likes Trees. I would easily say that this is his most favorite thing after food. He can lay outside for hours just watching the leaves move in the wind. He will even start talking to them. He even likes them more while laying in the grass, which he also loves.
So he's been doing this weird thing lately where he's found his voice a little more. He does this squeaky thing and goes really high... sometimes sucking air in and other times like doing a falseto voice. Either way it's fun to do it back. I almost think he's trying to sing because he'll do it with music too.

Garrett likes TV. Wonder where he gets it from?
Garrett rolls over. Fast and slow. See previous post for video.

I love Garrett's pretty blue eyes, very cute smile and his contageous laugh.

Cruise In 2010

This year for the Cache Valley Cruise In we weren't able to get the truck done. We had great help from my Grandpa Glayd and Grandma Helen (keeping me and Garrett company), and they were able to get a lot done. Thank you, Thank you!!! However, there was just so much left to do we didn't make it. So now we can have a lot of time to get it done for next year. We are determined not to say "next year we'll have it in". So I will keep you all updated so it gives us more motivation to get it done quick!

We still had a lot of fun going to the Cruise In this year and we were able to get a lot of good ideas, and see awesome cars. This one was one of my favorites:

Here's one you don't see everyday... The Bat mobile.

And here's a jeep with one of the coolest things we like at our house: Flames, painted and sewn.

Of course who couldn't love 'Bumble Bee' from "Transformers" ( 2010 Chevy Camero).

We weren't the only ones who liked the cars. Garrett loved going and stared at the cars and probably the leaves on the trees just as much. The best part for him was riding around in his totally awesome stroller.

Such a cute boy in his cute outfit and matching hat! Totally fits the car era...

He became famous because everyone thought it was so cute so he got his picture taken a ton of times. We even sent one in to the Hearld Journal and it got printed in the Monday (July 5) edition. Like father, like son. (Jordan had his picture in the paper ice skating when he was little.)

Thanks to Dave and Lynn Stander at Streamline Collision Center in Tremonton for letting us borrow their car stroller. We'll get Garrett's made pretty soon. That way we'll have a father/son entry for next year!

Rolling Over!!!

Garrett can now roll over!!! I just can't believe it! My little boy is growing up so fast.

He is 3 1/2 mo. exactly today. I have to give all the credit to Jordan because

he is always the one to put Garrett on his tummy. Here's a video of him that Jordan took.

Splashing

Garrett is just learning all sorts of things. He has now figured how to spash in the tub with his feet. Kids are so amazing in what they learn how to do in such little time. We did censor this video... I have checked it many times to make sure it's 'G' rated. All's good!

Garrett Blessing

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who came to Garrett's Blessing. Thank you also for bringing food to it. It was such a special day, especially it being my first mother's day. We were glad that most of our immediate family was there. We did miss Elder Trevor C who is in Finland right now and Grandma and Grandpa Allen. We did get to talk to Trevor on the phone that morning thought which was awesome. We even got to hear him sing a hymn in Finnish. It's amazing that these missionaries can learn these languages in such a short amount of time. The Lord's work will go on.

Garrett in his very cute blessing outfit!

Celeste, Kate, Arica, and Garrett. These two kids really like the sun...
Our cute little family
The Allen's
All the kids were happy to had grandpa mike back from Hawaii.
We can't wait for the day when we get to visit him there!
Grandma Linda and Grandpa Nathan.
Garrett wasn't the only one who was worn out at the
end of the day. Jordan found this doll my Grandma Helen
made for Celeste when she was little. The doll is still being loved Grandma!
(if you get to enjoy this before Jordan takes it off, you are lucky)

Nap Time...

Garrett is so big. He has now firgured out how to calm himself down before he takes a nap. He is just the biggest talker! These videos are just a quick glimps of what he has done for 10 min. straight. Of course this all depends if I put him down on time or wait until he's overtired. Luckily I've finally figured out the right cues. I can now put him down with his binki, turn on the music and walk away. I think Jordan taught him this one. He's such an independent person already... happy to just do his own thing.

I also have to put socks on his hands now because otherwise he puts big scratches in his head. Most of the time drawing blood with it. OUCH!

Laughing

We finally got Garrett laughing on tape. He will only do it once or twice a day. We're so lucky to have such a happy boy and one who sleeps through the night! (mom is especially greatful)
